Hepatitis B: Update on the Screening, Diagnosis, and Clinical Management   
Purpose:To provide medical news and explore the latest strategies and clinical protocols for the diagnosis, screening, and management of patients with hepatitis B in order to enhance the care of patients with this disease and to improve the knowledge and competency of physician members involved in their care.
Objectives:Upon completion of this presentation, the participants will be able to do the following:
  1. Review the latest information in regard to screening for hepatitis B.
  2. Discuss current and emerging concepts and strategies in the management of patients infected with the hepatitis B virus.
  3. Review NIH consensus statement recommendations for treatment and monitoring of patients with hepatitis B virus infection.
  4. Discuss the cultural and linguistic sensitivity when treating Asian patients who are infected with hepatitis B.
