The Chinese Physicians for Chinatown was organized in the 1970's and later established as the Chinese American Medical Association of Southern California (CAMASC), and incorporated as a 501(c) (6) non-profit organization in 1985. Ever since its inception CAMASC strives to improve the healthcare of the Chinese Americans in Southern California and North America through (1) Continuing Medical Education (CME) program, (2) Community health education projects, (3) Health care/clinical research collaboration, and (4) Health care policies participation.
