Program Description: |
The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) was signed into law on April 16, 2015. Under this law, comprehensive changes to how Medicare pays physicians will be introduced. This educational activity will discuss the two paths that physicians have to choose between: Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) or Alternate Payment Models (APMs). Along with detailing the purposes of these different tracks, this lecture will cover the Medicare reporting requirements and the changes to how physicians are paid for the services provided to Medicare beneficiaries. |
