Program Description:

 

While there is no national consensus around physician-assisted death, different states have begun to enact protections for individuals who seek this procedure and regulations for participating physicians to assist those individuals. With the End of Life Option Act, effective on June 9, 2016, California is the fifth state to allow physician-assisted death. This presentation will guide physicians through the requirements for complying with the Act, the liabilities and protections created by the Act, and preview what participating California physicians should expect post-June 9, 2016.
