  • Recognize the impact of gout and its complications.
  • Define the treatment challenges in managing patients with gout, including the different challenges physicians face when treating young versus elderly patients.
  • Evaluate current therapeutic and new options and their benefits and limitations for managing patients with gout in order to narrow the practice gaps.

  • Describe cultural barriers to hypertension medication adherence.
  • Describe differences in rates of ACE-I cough between Chinese and non-Chinese populations.
