Current Positions:
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, USC Keck School of Medicine

Bio:

After residency, I have focused upon integrating education, technology and medicine in order to improve healthcare access and delivery to women. Eight years of clinical care at LAC+USC has embedded the understanding that academic medicine is only as effective as the patient’s ability to be compliant which can be modified by both individual cultural factors as well as institutional flexibility. As director of a maternal child course, I explore the impact different cultures have upon implementation of western health policies/plans globally through analysis of women’s health maximization. In contrast, the work achieved within the Women’s Health Specialty-Primary working group within the LA County’s Department of Health Services has given a unique opportunity to address the crossroad of system’s resources and population health maximization within our backyard. Lastly, remaining within the academic arena has bestowed the privilege of participating in both the innovations and future potential of women’s health through education and research.
