Presentation: "Stroke in North American Chinese"
Time: Sunday Morning
Purpose: To review characteristics of strokes and stroke management for North American Chinese
Objectives:
Summarize the differences in epidemiology and presentation of strokes in North American Chinese
Discuss how to educate patients about risk factors and recognition of stroke using culturally and linguistically competent approach.
Review current recommendations for the management of stroke and its consequences, and how these should be adapted for Chinese patients.
